Editorial at the Marine Building and Loft Garden Oasis

This impromptu editorial created some of my favourite images! We shot at The Marine Building and The Loft Garden Oasis. Two very different sets, one street style with breathtaking architecture, and one smaller indoor space filled to the brim with lush plants. While the environments are opposing, they work so well together. Both have that nostalgic and lived-in feeling that we adore!

Marine Building

Inspiration awaits along the streets of Vancouver. Too often we forget about how stunning the heritage buildings are here. This editorial photoshoot features one the cities oldest structures, The Marine Building, created in 1929. So much detail went into this gem and we are obsessed with its art deco feel. We went for a multi toned eye look to pull into the hues of Alexis’ stunning greeny-blue stripped dress and the sea-like shades of The Marine Building walls.

Loft Garden Oasis

Brining outside inside, the Loft Garden Oasis is one of our favourite shooting locations. This space is always changing! It also has many props for models to aid in posing, making for a multitude of visually appealing scenes. We switched up the makeup for a fresher, more natural look and she changed into an airy, softer dress, which lets the environment truly shine.
