Excited you landed on this blog post! Well we typically use this platform to share about our bridal services, share about our favourite products and tips, and share the beautiful wedding clients we serve. Today we’re going to switch things up and share a little bit from the heart!

My Beginning

If you’ve been to our website before, you will notice there is something majorly different. But, if you’ve never clicked our URL here’s an introduction! My name is Meagan, Owner of Beauty En Route and I have been a makeup artist for five years. Two years ago I started my own business, in hopes of adding to the beauty community and creating a life of freedom and creativity. The past two years have wildly exceeded by expectations. I have been fortunate to have learnt so much in being a young business owner. I can’t thank my community, friends and family enough for their continued support in this journey!

Why We Did A Re-Brand

Business owners alike raise their hands to having to wear all the hats. I often hear “your just a makeup artist.” It is important to understand that being a freelancer of any kind- starting something from the ground up, takes much, much more than just the actual trained skill. From the start to the end, watching your ideas come to life is rewarding. That being said, the process of learning how to run a business has also been extremely stressful at times. They say there becomes a point where being your own accountant, social media marketer, VA, etc… gets beyond your scope. There is a point where you have to let go and let the actual experts in the industry do what they do best.

Web Designing For Bridal

I found the same applied to brand and web design. I am by no means a website designer. (Even though I have built and maintained our website for five years.) When quarantine hit, it brought peace and time for me to dream up some pretty beautiful ideas. I am ecstatic to finally show you what the team (and a handful of industry professionals!) have been working on. We knew we needed an elevated website that was better optimized for the internet. After much research, I decided to go with Alisabeth Designs. Making a big investment can be scary. But, I chose to trust the process and the experts and hoped it gave us a site that actually conveyed our story and our brand.

Our New Name That Reflects Bridal Services

Leaving makeup school in 2016, my goal was to create a company with a name that was not associated to my own. At that point, I had no idea what area of the industry I was going to be in. I worked in editorial, I worked in film, and I worked at Sephora. I had experienced very few weddings. The name Paragon Makeup Design & Effects was chosen not knowing life would take us here. Now all things Bridal, we needed to level up. Fitting into the bridal service niche was important and that is why this re-brand is a whole level up.

Switching everything over into Beauty En Route is a little bit of a bittersweet moment, but I know it’s only making room for potential growth. I could not be happier to be moving forward with a name that reflects both bridal hair and makeup services and the fact that we are a team. I feel like this brand now is whole and complete. It’s the perfect platform to build off of. Browsing our site and being able to actually read through our experience, to be able to preview the team and read their bios. I’m excited for you to be able to see that we are so much more than just makeup and hair and in the future shop our collection of bridal robes, hair accessories, and other salon services like eyelash extensions and eyelash lifts.

Our New Logo That Reflects Bridal Services

Not only did our website layout and composition massively up level, but our new logos and fonts are perfect! The overall vibe is so much better than our old branding. It is the perfect mix of delicate, vintage, clean and feminine all at the same time. I have been a classic girly girl from the start. Someone who has always loved luxury experiences, and imagined nothing less for her wedding day. I’m happy that our new website really does emanate that vision. It shows everything from the booking present, to the vision board, to the little extra special gift left on your doorstep. We could not be happier with the finished results.
